Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE] — please replace with the actual publish date before going live.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PyDynamics (the "Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), including the TEB Digital Foundation Bridge prep content, lessons, quizzes, badges, capstone projects, in-browser code editor, AI tutor feature, and community forum. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who Can Use PyDynamics

You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to use the Platform. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use PyDynamics with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. [Specify a minimum age, e.g. 13 or 16, based on your target audience and applicable law.]

2. Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Course Content, Progress & Badges

Modules, lessons, quizzes, and badges are provided for educational purposes. Quiz scores, completion status, and badges reflect your activity on the Platform and are not a certification recognized outside PyDynamics unless we state otherwise. We may add, remove, or modify course content, quizzes, and the criteria for badges at any time.

4. Capstone Projects & Your Code

Code you write for exercises and capstone projects belongs to you. By submitting it through the Platform (for grading, showcasing, or storage), you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you, and — only where you choose to share it publicly (e.g. in the Project Showcase forum category) — to display it to other users. You're responsible for ensuring your submitted code doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

5. Community Forum

The forum (General Discussion, Help & Questions, Project Showcase, Learning Resources, Site Feedback) is a space for learners to interact. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing, or that shares another person's private information without consent. You're responsible for content you post; we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or basic community norms.

6. AI Tutor Feature

PyDynamics includes an AI-assisted tutor to help explain concepts and unblock you when you're stuck. AI-generated responses may be incomplete or contain errors — verify important information independently, especially for capstone work, where the underlying work is expected to be your own understanding, not a copied AI answer.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or our infrastructure (including Supabase-backed services);
  • Use the in-browser code editor or any Platform feature to run malicious code, attack third parties, or attempt to compromise the Platform;
  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute course content without our written permission;
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another user or staff member.

8. Intellectual Property

Course content, lesson text, exercises, quizzes, and the PyDynamics name and branding are owned by [COMPANY / OWNER NAME] or its licensors. Except for your own submitted code as described in Section 4, you may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that course content is error-free, that badges or quiz results reflect job-market recognized credentials, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or secure at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [COMPANY / OWNER NAME] will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. [This section should be reviewed and tailored by a qualified lawyer for your jurisdiction before publishing.]

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION, e.g. South Africa], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Confirm this against where your business is actually registered/operates.]

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [CONTACT EMAIL].
