PyDynamics — Learn Python from Zero to Capable

This Privacy Policy explains what information PyDynamics ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use the Platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) an avatar image and bio, via our authentication provider.

Learning activity. We store your lesson progress, quiz attempts and scores, exercise submissions and code, badges earned, and AI-quiz interactions, so the Platform can track your progress and unlock content appropriately.

Forum content. Threads, replies, and votes you post are stored and are visible to other users and the public where the forum is publicly readable.

Technical information. Like most web platforms, we may log basic technical data (e.g. timestamps, general usage patterns) to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account and track your learning progress;
To grade quizzes, award badges, and personalize recommended next steps;
To operate the community forum and display your posts to other users;
To provide the AI tutor feature, which may process your questions and relevant lesson/code context to generate a helpful response;
To maintain the security and integrity of the Platform;
To communicate with you about your account or material changes to the Platform (not for third-party marketing).

3. AI Tutor & Third-Party AI Processing

Our AI tutor feature sends relevant parts of your questions and, where needed, associated lesson or code context to a third-party AI provider in order to generate a response. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information (e.g. ID numbers, financial details) in your questions to the AI tutor or in forum posts, since this content is processed and/or displayed beyond just you.

4. Where Your Data Lives

Account data, learning progress, and forum content are stored in our database, hosted via Supabase infrastructure. Row-level security policies restrict who can read or modify most records — for example, only you (or an admin) can edit your own threads and replies, and only you can see your own quiz-attempt history.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information:

With service providers who host or process data on our behalf (e.g. our database and AI provider), under confidentiality obligations;
If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PyDynamics, our users, or the public;
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.

Content you choose to post publicly on the forum (threads, replies) is, by its nature, visible to other users and — since threads are publicly readable — potentially to anyone who can access the forum pages.

6. Your Choices & Rights

You can update your profile information (name, avatar, bio) at any time;
You can edit or delete your own forum threads and replies;
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL];

7. Data Retention
